Fake Shake & Bake
Recipe type: Main
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp basil
  • 2 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tsp flour
  • 4 5-ounce boneless pork chops
  • 4 potatoes
  • Low-fat cooking spray
  1. Prepare potatoes any way you like them. If baked, do this before cooking the pork chops as they take much less time to cook. You can always turn them into twice baked potatoes with bit of cheese on top during the last few minutes while the oven is on broil.
  2. Preheat the broiler, and coat the pan with low-fat cooking spray.
  3. Mix all of the seasonings and bread crumbs in a large freezer bag.
  4. Put eggs in a small bowl, and flour in another small bowl. Coat pork chops in flour, then in egg.
  5. Place pork chops in the bag, one at a time, and give it a shake to make sure they are fully coated with seasonings.
  6. Place seasoned pork chops onto the greased pan and place pan inside broiler. Broil for four minutes on each side. Make sure the meat is no longer pink. Serve with potatoes.
