Tools for Slow Cooker Meal Prep

Below are a few things that I like having in my kitchen to help with meal preparation throughout the week.  Several of these meals are great for freezing in advance to just thaw and dump in the slow cooker.  So, I am including some freezer meal prep items as well to help you stay on top of everything.

Start with your best slow cooker!  Of course, there are tons of options out there, but a good 6 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker is my place to begin.  No matter what brand or product you choose, just make sure it is large enough to prepare the meal you need for dinner

  • Freezer Storage Bags
  • Freezer Bag Stands
  • Digital Kitchen Scale
  • Collapsible Measuring Spoons and Cups

How to use this WW FreeStyle Slow Cooker Meal Plan

Most of the recipes included in this month meal plan make at least 6 servings.  For me, that means I can have a month of evening meals, with every meal giving me a day or two of leftovers to use for lunch. This is a perfect way to control my eating habits and stay in budget.   So, if I plan ahead, I can make sure that I know exactly what dinner and most lunches will be for the week.

  • Fill in the gaps of your day with zero point eggs, vegetables, and fruits.  As sides, roast vegetables or steam them for a great zero point side.  For breakfast, focus on things like eggs, yogurt, fruit, and other low point foods.  This gives you a ton of flexibility for dinner that will make your scale and your taste buds happy.
  • Below you will find each week linked to the individual recipes for your convenience.  I recommend printing the recipe and putting in a file so you have it on hand the day you plan to cook it.  I have also listed the points per serving beside the links for your convenience.
